Sr. Healthcare Actuary

Must have prior actuarial experience


Senior Actuary- Healthcare / Health Services

The Ideal Candidate
4 to 10 years of experience
Management experience A BIG plus
Minimum level of education - Bachelor's Degree

In this senior Actuarial role we are looking for an individual who can demonstrate a strong history of outstanding analytical research and thinking. We are also looking for an actuary that has leadership aspirations, who can be a team leader and strong project manager. We have numerous opportunities within our Actuarial department, Medicare, Large Groups, Small Groups, Pricing, Individual products, Capital Plan, Trends, and Valuation to name a few. Within this context, the Senior Actuary will perform leadership functions, and lend analytic and strategic support to help the division and the company meet its goals.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, computer science or an equivalent related field.
We would prefer an Actuary that is or close to being an ASA
Proven ability to perform and manage difficult actuarial tasks.
Keen analytical and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated success with project management and leading project teams.
Very well developed business sense including finance, accounting, economics, risk management .
In-depth working knowledge of how an insurance company functions.
Solid oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to all levels of the organization.
Strong computer skills MS Office, spreadsheets, statistical analysis, and database.
Ability to work independently on complex projects and issues with large financial and/or risk impact to the corporation.
