Description: Processes a variety of customer transactions that involve suspended claims, adjustments, and other customer inquiries due to missing information, other party liability, nonstandard pricing, and other special circumstances.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. * Minimum of one year prior work experience in claims, data entry, bank transaction processing or accounting required.* Data entry skills required.* Demonstrated proficiency operating a computer with Windows based navigation. Commitment to high quality customer service.* Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.* Ability to work in teams and independently.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams.* Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and make fact-based decisions.* Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and deal effectively with customers.* Broad-based knowledge of claims coding and processing preferred.* Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.* Familiarity with BCBSNC policies, claims, and membership procedures or equivalent work experience preferred.* Knowledge of BCBSNC customer service protocols, policies, and procedures preferred.
